Cahil had a little go at metal detecting with no success. There was a playground only metres away from us, near the public toilets block. Loads of covered table and chairs, and two BBQ's.
The tides here go out a long, long, long way - which I'd like to mention is extremely hard to walk in thongs because a lot of the sand has mud through it and you just sink! When the tide turns and flows back in, you literally need to keep a steady walking pace to stay in front of it - very fast!
So if you visit this beautiful place and tackle the walk to the end of the low tide, wear covered water shoes.

The boys made a marbles game from macadamia nuts they found on the ground nearby. The trains pass by just across the road frequently - noisy but very cool!
