Seaforth is a great place to stay with loads of things to entertain you during your stay. It costs $ twenty-something dollars/night - OR you can pay $106 for the whole week. There is loads of room to camp, no powered sites - but there is a couple of power points in the park that you can charge a laptop or mobile if need be. If you want a beachfront site I would definitely ring and book ahead. There are a few taps located around the park for you to connect a hose for washing your car, or filling a bucket - but you can't permanently hook up your hose. The amenities are great! Flushing toilets and hot showers that cost 20cents for 4 minutes.
The birds are a plenty here at Seaforth; The main inhabitants are: The Curlew bird, heaps and heaps of ducks, and super-duper tame lorikeets ..... so funny to watch - they fly right down to you and land on your arm and head!
Down the beach you can swim in a huge enclosure that was built to keep you safe from crocodiles and stingers (October-May)..... funny thing is though, the net has huge holes in it! On high tide kids flock to the swimming net and ride the waves.

Just north up the beach you will come across a couple of islands. At low tide you can walk across to both islands, joined together by paths that were built in world war 2. It's quite a walk to the second island from the mainland, so take some water and snacks if you have kids! And make sure that you return to the mainland before high tide kicks in or you will be stuck over there! You will find loads of coral, rocks and shells on the shoreline, caves cowering from the mountain and good fishing with the right bait.
We fished over at the second island and caught a blue bone, a bream, GT, and a sweet lip.....MMmmmmmm - they were awfully yummy!

A short drive in the opposite direction takes you to Cape Hillsborough, past smalley's beach and ball bay. Here you can take a bushwalk up and around the mountain on Andrew's point track. We totally recommend it. Here you will find spectacular views of the bay, and if you're lucky you will spot a turtle or two.
