Wyndham, WA
Wyndham is a very quiet little town approx. 1hr north of Kununurra. It has a tiny little tin shed supermarket (with severely overpriced milk), a massive crocodile sculpture built in 1988; plonked in the centre of town.... and of course - Loads of Boab trees!
At the local caravan park (actually - it's the only caravan park there) .... the local attraction is Fuzzy the donkey. He spends his days strolling around the caravan park looking for scraps to eat and a cuddle from travellers. He has roamed the streets of Wyndham, far north Western Australia for years; after being saved as a baby from a Donkey cull on Flora Valley Station. We loved the snuggly cuddles from our hairy 4 legged friend.
I finally found a place to set up my paper towel roll in the caravan .... totally professional. You can never have too many sticks!

A local blue winged kookaburra perched nearby our van. Such a beautiful bird and so different to the kookaburra's back on the Sunshine Coast Qld.
There was a bit of action at the caravan park in Wyndham; fires were coming in very close to the park and nearing our vans, so back-burning took place to stop the fire from spreading towards us. Matt was keen to lend a hand, and helped put out the wandering flames that escaped the line up of the back-burn perimeter.

We ran into the lovely family that skoots around Australia in the Big Red Truck. We've heard of these guys through other travellers we've met; and were lucky enough to have a look inside this big red beast.
The Wyndham jetty is worth a look - croc slides and prints are evidence that big saltwater crocs live under the jetty... no swimming here!
5 Rivers Lookout
5 Rivers Lookout is a must see - if you are visiting Wyndham. Beautiful panoramic views of the salt flats is visible as far as the eye can see.
