Wooramel Station WA
This is an awesome station experience for those of you looking for a little bit of luxury while enjoying the outback. River side campsites are very secluded and spread out from other campers. Although the river has not been running for 4 years; the peaceful possies plonked along the dry river bed are beautiful all the same.
During the season there is camping allowed on the grassy flats as well.

We were looking after the station animals as well as tending to the cattle, sheep and goats on the acreage. Our favourite 'pets' were flora the cat, Maddy the chiwowow puppy and Tom the head-butting sheep.
Wooramel Station has its very own outdoor hot tubs! Run off the Artesian Spring Bore from underground; the temperature of the water is a warming 32degrees and a perfect place to sit your tootsies in after spending a long day in the country.
Make sure you ask Justin and Rachael about the 'junk yard' ... a creative person's gold mine for car parts, mechanisms, scrap metal, wood and anything else you can find. We spent a bit of time at the junk yard, sorting through bits and bots for our sculptures we made for around the station.
Leopard skin gumboots are a must accessory when working on the station.... perfect for those muddy situations, prickly grass and for learning to weld - although those couple of hot rocks that went down the leg of my gumboots sure did make me re-think the possibility of wearing thongs.
We welded some great sculptures; for the station - a sheep, 2x dogs, 2x flowers, an emu, roadrunner and a birdhouse.

Matt spent a bit of time working with the bobcat; moving tree branches and digging out area's that needed it, while Noah learned to drive a stick shift Suzuki around the station.
